66cm+ Dolls 1006 days (Dollshe Saint)

Dec 27, 2021

    1. So here's my cautionary tale about ordering from Dollshe. DON'T DO IT. Anyways, two years, nine months, or 1006 days for my Saint in Oriental on the Pure body. This actually isn't even MY ACTUAL ORDER. This is someone else's cancelled layaway, and as it matches what I ordered and I was the longest waiting, he was given to me by the dealer.

I actually laughed at the head cutout here . But plain boring box now.

There was another 2 of them!

COAs for head and body, extra string and magnets.

And he boy himself! He's got very toothy resin with no smell. His face is kind of different from my much older (2011? I think) Saint I picked up in the wait time, but is still very much Saint. He's also a headback style, instead of my faceplate.

Overall I'm glad he arrives safely, but there is NO excuse for an almost 3 year wait.

    2. Wow, that wait time is something else... glad your boy finally arrived though. Thank you for sharing photos!

    3. At least you got him strung and in a proper box:sweat I read that he now often wants to send dolls unstrung to save on postage.
I'm so glad I was never tempted by their dolls, the wait times are atrocious. I feel it's only a matter of time until the whole operation collapses if the business continues like this.

    4. Congratulations on your boy coming home! I may be getting my boy after an almost 3 year wait as well...because someone defaulted on their layaway.

    5. Yeah, Dollshe is a big disappointing 'don't'. It's positively shameful. Many of the sculpts are readily available on the secondhand market, sold by people who fell out of love due to time/anger/frustration - and sadly, that is the best way to go if anyone is craving one of these beauties.

BUT...all of that aside, your boy is absolutely lovely, and one of my favorite of their sculpts. <3 I hope that you are able to look past the annoyance, get him painted and dressed, and enjoy him to the fullest!

    6. Oh Gosh, I thought it was kind of joke that dollshe makes dolls for years and now I see that this is real! :oAnyway he is here with you now and it is good :thumbup

    7. Ugh. His wait times are SO DISAPPOINTING - especially since at one point, he teased offering tiny (1/6 scale) versions of his dolls. I would have LOVED a 1/6 scale Diana. But no way in h-e-double hockey sticks am I willing to wait three years.
So glad you got your doll!

    8. This is interesting. That looks to me like the "grown" Saint head (they were called that for like five minutes, but it's the slightly updated current headback style sold by default with the Mystic body) but they've put it on the Pure body. The grown head is noticeably larger than the faceplate style one that body was paired with before, isn't it? I guess this is how they're shipping them now to anyone who orders the Pure body? Or is this something you requested? How is the neck fit? I'm super curious if they are selling the exact same head for both bodies.

I'm also waiting on a Saint. Two years, five months and counting. Congratulations on your arrival and I hope the wait hasn't soured your ability to enjoy him.

    9. Congrats! I waited two years for my Diana and she finally arrived while I was self isolating and feeling utterly wretched last year. I hope you’re able to enjoy your doll more than I was mine! He is a handsome boy, I do love their sculpts. Alas, the wait times.

    10. My congratulations! <3 Long time!
After less than a year I was written to say that my Arsene is ready. I am waiting to pay the additional shipping fee. :thumbup
I wish you every success in personalizing your beautiful Saint. <3 <3 <3

    11. Congrats! I too got my doll due to a cancelled order that was just like mine. I ordered from BJDivas on June 12- 2019 so two years and six months. I agree that long of a wait on basically a doll they have been making for a while shouldn't take that long. Anyway congrats again.

    12. Congrats on your new arrival! I ordered a mature tiny Hound during the order period in 2018, and am still waiting. A lot of people have cancelled their orders due to the absurd wait times. I'm one of the ones stubborn (and maybe crazy) enough to keep waiting.

    13. Dollshe wait times are atrocious. I've also waited 3 years for several classic 18m boys. I just got a notice from BJDivas that I finally get my saint because someone else defaulted on their payments. I don't know if I'm all that excited anymore for him. But seeing your boy gives me hope!

    14. Those little foam heads made me laugh out loud :XD: Congrats on your new doll! He is very handsome! Back in 2013 I got a Saint head in like three months, it was like winning the lottery.

    15. Congratulations on an end to the long ordeal! I haven't quite hit that 1000- day mark yet myself...still "only" at 2 years and 5 months :sigh
Always glad to see any of us get out of this ridiculous situation. I'll never, ever do it again either.

    16. I love dollshe dolls but I can't believe the wait times!
Those cut out heads are hilarious, it's like they're the evidence of previous victims that had to wait too long and gave up...

Congrads on finally got your boy though.

    17. Wow - Saint was one the sculpts I fell totally in love with when I got into the hobby last year. He was almost my first order - but I'm glad I looked into reviews of the company first as I don't think I would've been able to wait!

He really is handsome though - congratulations! I'm glad you were finally able to bring him home.
