I don't mean an anthro or partially animal dolls, I mean like a whole animal. My friend was going to cast her own ferret doll someday and that got me thinking. Are there any companies out there that have a complete animal doll? Maybe a dog or cat or something? I would love links or photos!
Hujoo as already mentioned are the only company I can think of off the top of my head I'm afraid and 100% animal doll would be off topic for Den of Angels though so there will not be many pictures here http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?42407-Criteria-for-Dolls-quot-On-Topic-quot-for-DoA
They aren't, actually, off-topic for DoA if they are companion animals. This Picture Request is fine! http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...nimals-allowed-in-the-Accessories-Marketplace
I have a Camellia Dynasty Wong who is a good size of kitty for MSDs. He's a bit small for SDs, but I usually figure he's a runt or something. ^^; I've actually painted him since this picture was taken, but I haven't taken any new pictures. o.o;
SoulDoll Has A Dog Named Gray. He Is A Brown Dog That Looks Like A Dog Not A Humanoid Dog. http://souldoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=1893 They Also Have A Unicorn But They Have Been Sold Out For Ever.
They say Grayhound but its nose is way too big :I I would say undocked Doberman, but that's just me. He does look pretty cool, front leg joints are a bit off though....They put the whole paw after the 3rd joint, where as on a real dog that part is just their toes. His back legs look alright though, some work on the front legs would look better.
I just got a Daisy Dayes Polar Bear tiny. He's amazingly articulated and even came with a second faceplate (his 'worried' look). Daisy Dayes Polar Bear #14! by dhawktx1, on Flickr When ya gotta go... by dhawktx1, on Flickr
The largest companion doll to my knowledge is the Domuya Nightmare. He actually is quite well jointed (apart from the midriff joints that really don't do much difference), and the stringing is inventive (but nightmarish to restring). And it is a lot of resin, unfortunately not so easy to get him to dollmeets, the horse with armour and box is 16kg and take the whole backseat... But he is a beauty. ^_^
Bumping up for more companion animals! Im thinking of buying a camellia dynasty bean.. I hope he will be a companion just like the cat.. because I think he will be so cute with my pukifees! id love to see what other "pets" are out there for adoption
I have a Camellia Dynasty Bean Bunny~ Here she is with my Kid Delf Mango! I also have an Aileen Doll Seed who makes an adorable dragon companion for fantasy-themed BJDs Dragon Cuddles by ~bandersnatch, on Flickr Noble Steed by ~bandersnatch, on Flickr
This is just the thread I was looking for! Glad it got bumped back into existence. Does anyone know if there are any companions/pets out there that could be easily modified to look like a big lizard...? Er, kind of an odd request and I'm doubting it, but it can't hurt to ask. @Leokitsune: I just stumbled across those yesterday! *A* I want one so bad, but I can't justify spending that kind of money when I am planning on ordering a doll. http://pets.evethecat.com/
I love the Eve the Cat / Oleum 13 Cats! They are a definite favourite of mine! After an inquiry I made last week, it looks like I inspired something too! Anyone interested in a Ball Jointed Wolf? I know I am! https://www.facebook.com/groups/bjdpets/permalink/646516025407389 On the 3D printed side of things, Elleo Dolls on Etsy also make some gorgeous dogs! https://www.etsy.com/shop/ElleoDolls I have to get one of their 1/6 scale black GSDs! Paper Sakura Group have little tiny pet doll bunnies which are really cute. I currently have one each of their little Cherry Cake rabbits, Sapphire (closed eye) & Ruby (open eye), on the way - http://blog.163.com/zy89_good/album/#m=1&aid=256957004&p=1
Hello! This DA artist makes animal bjd, and a lot of them have lizard/dragon like looks. She takes commissions too. I hope it helps!
I'm hoping to order two cats from Oleum (one Sphynx & one British Blue w/ turned down ears) - will prob go with the raw kits & paint myself. Emilia on FlickR did an incredible paint job on her cats http://www.flickr.com/photos/emiliacouture/sets/72157641012787144/ I'd really love a horse in the 1/4 scale too
Has anyone seen any somewhat-stylized dogs (something along the lines of Camellia Dynasty's or Paper Sakura Group's critters, rather than the more realistic ones)? I'm thinking a Wong will be perfect as the start of a set of companion animals for one family, but need a stylistically similar dog and dragon to complete the set.
I am also looking for other dragon type bjd other than Aileendoll. This person made a great BJD dragon but it has been sold out. I hope he/she makes more. http://www.cuartosdolls.com/#!
If you look more closely, that's actually a preorder item. He hasn't produced any of those dolls for sale yet, but has done a large number of preorders. (Just click where it says "preorder info" on that page.)
The wait list is far out, though... I think six months was last I knew? I put myself on the waitlist a good three or four months ago, and have some time to go.
Yeah, 5 to six weeks at least at the moment for Cuartos Dolls dragons with a warning that it's potentially longer just due to the current backlog. What has been shown as "sold out" via Cuartos Dolls is their pre-made dragons...there's no chance of them having any pre-made dragons at the moment with their backlog of pre-orders.
i don't know who's brilliant idea was it but obitsu once produced tiny dog.....it's just called THEDOG
Those are still around - the part A type with the pointy ears and B type with the floppy ears, available in Black, white and Clear, produced in composite ABS plastic and POM plastic. Parabox & Junkyspot carry them, for anyone wanting a look. For some reason, the pointy eared ones kind of remind me of Ravage from the original 80s Transformers cartoons ^^
I've just receive my Paper Sakura Ruby today, and it sooo adorable!! *___* These little pets are to die for!
Though, from what I've seen and heard, it's really worth the wait. Some people from the German BJD community organized a GO and the dragons finally arrived in Feb. 2014. Everyone's very pleased with him.

Well... Since I have a few, I can definitly recommend... Wong from Camellia Dynasty, Puppy from PC (avaible for order via http://bjdfantasyparts.weebly.com/), the Obitsu Dog and the dragon from Cuarto. I have them all and you can see a pic of each of them on my homepage in the first row of my horde here: http://www.snowy-dolls.at/horde.html From the one or other I got some more pics on flickr :3 I love pretty much all of them -^3^-
Wow I love the horse and how cute is the bunny I'm thinking of getting my boy a dragon bjd I'm new to bjds and love the cute little fairy type as does my daughters but my son wants to join in maybe a dragon would be cute for him x
Eve studios dragon This is just the prototype. It will be ready for production in a few weeks. http://pets.evethecat.com/category/news/
Aww so cute! I'm kind a regretting not getting in on that last pre-order now I guess I can contribute too. Here is my Aileen Doll Cathy I'm really hoping they make more winged kitties sometime.
Congrats, Angelic-Pretty! So cute ♡ Still waiting on my Ruby & Sapphire at the moment but can't wait until they arrive. Looks like Paper Sakura Group are doing their next pre-order for these cuties again on Taobao now too, until May 25! http://shop58194822.m.taobao.com/shop/a-5-5-42-173692456.htm?vm=&sid=b262dce735943d77 Nell, I'm jealous! I would have loved a limited winged Cathy & / or Lucy, definitely agree that I hope Aileendoll bring them back again. Calivano, I'm keeping a close eye on those Eve Studio / Oleum13 dragons. Not a fan of the head style but the rest is wonderful!
A chance to show my Hujoo Wawa! by , He's next to an MSD girl for size idea. Hujoo and Aileen doll had some stylized dog sculpts, but Im pretty sure you can only get them second hand now. I have an incoming eve the cat pug doll, ill put up pics of him too when he arrives.
I have an Eve Studios Oriental resin kitty, and she is marvelous. Here she is with my anthro kitty girl who is an MSD. The resin cats only come in this size (5cm at the shoulders), but the 3D printed ones go up to 10cm size.
Ah! I am so glad I stumbled upon this thread!! My bank account , however, is not . 💗💗💗
I really want one of the Paper Sakura dollies! Does anyone know what the best way to order from them is? I can't seem to work it out.
I've ordered from the artist's Taobao store @ http://shop58194822.taobao.com (you can find their blog here - http://blog.163.com/zy89_good ) directly (my Ruby & Sapphire bunnies) and via a Taobao Agent (Taobao Ring - for my Takako) and can happily recommend both those options, if that helps. BJD Fantasy Parts also act as a reseller for them, if you are willing to pay a bit more for them - see http://bjdfantasyparts.weebly.com/import-preorder.html
JenKat - are agents easy to use? I've never ordered from Taobao before but I really want those bunnies too. I found this site with the bunnies and was thinking of just buying from there. Not sure if they're legit though... http://www.alsotao.com/product/AMzcxNjoyOTU1NDI=/--
Oh if that website is legit that would be so convenient! Thanks for all the help, JenKat! Taobao Ring seems easy to use compared to other agents I've looked at.
Has anybody bought one of these cats before?: https://www.etsy.com/listing/178871406/mary-magpie-fashion-art-doll-pet-kitty?ref=shop_home_active_6 They seem fairly affordable, though much less joints...
It depends on the Agent. After they brought in a few changes at the end of last year, Taobao Ring is one of the easier agents to use now, much like haiiroko also mentioned. Zarmark is the other I use, but for ease (and the fact that I have had experience buying from Paper Sakura Group through them with ease) then Taobao Ring would be my most recommended there. Zarmark refused to take an order for Paper Sakura Group unless I paid via an alternative method to Paypal (Bank West was recommended) due to the fact that the make-time for Paper Sakura Group dolls means order make-times can tend to fall outside Paypal's buyer-and-seller protection period....hence I chose not to go with them, but other than one very very delayed order I had with them, I can also highly recommend them as they have always come though in the end. As for AlsoTao, I believe they're just another style of Taobao / Chinese buying service, much like AliExpress or SmallTao where they have more of a shop-front looking store rather than you having to hunt the items you want down on Taobao and request an order (as is the case with other agents). I haven't used them personally, but if anyone else has, feel free to share your experience. Just looking at the details regarding that particular AlsoTao seller, it appears it's actually Paper Sakura Group / Grass Biying, but not 100% sure. No problem, haiiroko. Glad I could help
Thanks! I think I may give them a shot just for the bunnies. Just need to put my doll priorities in order first since I've had a few "wants" come up in the past week or so...
Eve Studio is the best. The bunnies are great quality and super cute. As soon as I pay off my newest doll layaway I am going to grab some of the BJSpiders as well
Thought I'd mention that I tried out AlsoTao for ordering those cute bunnies. After I ordered they emailed me and told me they were sold out and asked me to pick other items I asked them to refund me instead, which they did within 24 hours. So they seem pretty legit and I probably wouldn't mind ordering from them again. I checked on Taobao and they're listed at 9999 yuan. Which I guess is the price the artist put to prevent people from buying? I hope they're not out of production now!
This is so Awesome. I want one sooo bad! I hope this is an acceptable post, as I didn't see any discussions on it. Would be really spectacular if more BJD animals in the right scale came about. I'm Savin for one.
Every time I see an awesome centaur doll, all I can think is how much I wish it had a real horse head. They are already so close with the body joints it seems so close but yet so far away >_<
Here's a horse bjd: http://legenddoll.net/goods-4377.html I think more and more animal bjds are being made. I never thought I'd get one, but I've ordered an Olga/EveTheCat cat, and I have a pink Rot from AileenDolls, and I've been very tempted by a bunch of others!!!
Elleo dolls on Etsy does have a wide range of delicately made BJD animals. I got a friend one of their cats for her MSDs, and it is a fine little thing. They have dogs now too. The dolls get expensive very quickly as their size goes up, though.
I haven't owned any animal doll yet but...I'm waiting for a Doll Family Fox in YS after I ordered some clothing during Alice's Collection Events. I wonder what it will look like! Excited
