Tutorial 1-Minute No-Sew Dress!

Kielin submitted a new tutorial:

1-Minute No-Sew Dress!

So, going along with my 1-Minute No-Sew Sweater, I now have a No-Sew dress.

As you can tell, I don't have a lot of extra clothes lying around (especially in Super Gem size), and I don't have a lot of money to always go out and buy fabrics to make them clothes (or already made clothes), so I tend to make a lot of temporary clothing. Keeping them all from sitting naked.

Anywho, onto the tutorial!

NOTE: This works best with somewhat stretchy fabrics.

#1 - Cut off a sleeve to an old shirt. Cut right against the seam so you don't have an ugly seam hanging off.
(You can use an old shirt of yours, or get one at a garage sale/thrift store/dollar store)

#2 - Stand your doll (it's easier this way), hold the sleeve hem facing up towards the doll's head, and put the middle of your sleeve piece at the middle of their bum. (You can change the height depending on where you want the waist to be)
With the two ends, wrap them forward, then backward again. (You don't want any naughty parts showing!)

#3 - Wrap them two ends forward again, criss-crossing over the chest.

#4 - Now just tie it behind the neck and it's done!

#5 - If the inside of the fabric is a different color, then you may need to tuck the edges in for a nice clean look.

But, for the most part, we have an easy dress that can cover up your doll until you can find the perfect outfit for them.

This is a really good concept for even doing swimsuit type photos make the waist lower and hide the back easy bikini!
