Hi! I have DV's Aiden who is a slim 1/6 – not quite mature tiny, he's got a big ol head and a childlike sculpt, but he's definitely a skinny little lad – and every day I've had him, I regret cheaping out on the wolf version! The little claws are sooo cute, but DV doesn't sell them separately! (I'm aware they sell paw-hands, but Aiden has regular hands with long nails basically. I'm not interested in the paws.) I've seen people give their dolls claws or long nails with Apoxy mods, but... will that even work on such itty bitty little hands?! Or is there anything else that might be worth looking into for small details on this scale? Thanks for any input!
I haven't tried it yet but when I was looking into this I heard that some people cut slivers of plastic straws to use as nail extensions and that seemed pretty promising to me
Dollightful used small cardboard and hot glue. If you got a low temp one (they Run Like $10) you could keep trying I'll you get what you want since it's not being permanently affixed. Her YouTube by the same name is an excellent source of budget friendly mods Any sculpting will work depending on your skill, but if you're unfamiliar, it wouldn't hurt to get a thrift store doll and practice hot glue, straws epoxy, ECT until you feel more confident. It will stick 1000x better with a little rough sanding first so it has something to grip onto. Push comes to shove, you could just straight up make hands, be it traditional or 3d print. And there are artists who take commissions. Tldr, sky's the limit, have fun.
