I decided my boy needed a chaise lounge to flop dramatically on. I forgot to take any progress photos, but it's a lot of cardboard, eva foam, cushion foam, hotglue, velvet, and hand-sewing.
That is amazing! How did you design it? And make the spiral part? If you make a tutorial someday, I will attempt to follow it!
Thank you! Honestly I looked at photos of lounges and did a few measurements for how large I wanted it to be to fit my doll, but mostly I just kind of winged it. The spiral part is layers of eva foam that I sandwitched a wire armature inside. Then I put fabric over it and rolled it up, gluing it into place as I went. I sewed the spiral together on the back side, but deiced the front looked better not sewn and it seems to be staying okay. If I make another I'll definitely do an actual tutorial!
I figured I'd be making clothes since I make costumes for humans already, but I didn't expect the furniture! I'm curious what I'll end up making in the long run
I've been shopping for affordable furny, but no luck with added shipping costs. I think the quality will be better handmade, anyway. Thanks for proving the point, hehe!
Hey sorry I haven't been on! The book is just a commercial tiny book of Shakespearean insults (from Running Press, apparently.) He also has a tiny Poe collection, there's a lot of decently 1/3+ scale books in the... tiny quote book section of bookstores? I think that falls under novelties/gifts.
