I’m drafting blanks out of "A Guide To Tailored Clothes" and I have a few questions. If my shoulder points are the bumps where my scapula and the clavicle meet, are the shoulder points on my doll where the arm-ball meets the body or the outer apex of the arm-ball? Did that make any sense How much ease to start with in fitting ¼”, ¾”, 1 inch? I’ve already made a pair of pants out of this book that turned out great. I just don’t understand how it happened. Mire One part gum, wire and spit. One part magic.
Ok I asked my boyfriend who took costuming classes in college. He says it's been a lot of years since he's done anything like that (he's a stagehand not a costumer hehe), but from from looking at my dolls and such he thinks the point would be just a tiny little bit out from the actual joint between the arm and the body. He has been nagging me to make slopers for my dolls too....so if I ever get started on that I'll take pictures hehe But I hope that helps!
