I'd been watching this hobby from afar with starry eyes, when I finally saved enough to order my first (and only, for now) doll, Oscar, back in October 2016. He arrived Christmas Eve, which was definitely the best gift I'd ever received, even though technically it wasn't a present.

Since then I've been finagling with patterns, practicing new faceup and wig techniques on thrift store Monster Highs, and otherwise gathering materials and courage to start working on Oscar's ensemble. Hopefully soon I'll have some better pictures of him to show!

When I'm not either actively working on BJDs or daydreaming about my future doll fam, I'm working on school, practicing my art, or testing patterns for Colonial caps, pockets, aprons, short-gowns, etc. for my kind-of job as apprentice seamstress/ historical reenactor.
