Classically trained artist (oils, pastels, acrylic, mixed medium) whose later education focused on the Theology (history/exegesis) and Philosophy who then ended up working in...graphic design.
Esoteric book, physical copies of video games and hi-fi /head-fi modifying and collecting are also interests. Happily married, co-parent to some very strange cats.

A neurological illness robbed me of the will to carry on for near a decade. I was not suicidal but prayed that I might be granted the grace to die.

Incidentally it was the buying of my first BJD in 2021 (after long being interested but intimidated) which served as the impetus to go from bedridden to slowly walking.

After that, slowly designing clothes, then taking out my art supplies again and slowly starting to sew, make wigs, make eyes etc.

In a sense something rather small made me want to fight for life and I am very grateful for that.

And look, I'm glad it did because if I had not regained both that physical and mental strength when I did, I would have been broken by my city being flooded and house ruined shortly thereafter. But I was fine; it ended up being the best thing that could have ever happened. Such devestation made me move to another part of the country entirely, a place which feels like the home I never had. I'm not 100% healthy but getting stronger everyday.
