Hi Everyone! I discovered BJDs through another hobby I have - Anime Conventions and Cosplay. There was a booth for BJD's at Anime Expo a number of years back (maybe 2003? 2005?) and I've always loved the Japanese culture in particular so these dolls naturally fascinated me. I found them again through internet research. I think I was pregnant with my first child (2008) then and I don't know if it was the hormones or what, but I think these dolls are so KAWAII!!!! Super cute. They've always had a place in my heart but I could never afford one until now. I purchased my first doll with birthday money in March 2014 for my birthday, then bought three (yes, Three) more in as many months... with plans for more! I have been a big fan of these ball jointed dolls for many years and I'm so excited to finally have my own bjd family. When I received my first bjd in the mail, I quickly realized that there was a lot I needed to learn about these dolls and immediately started scrambling around and set to work on clothing her with things that I made myself -- out of sheer desperation lol. Now I make bjd gemstone crowns and sell them in my Etsy shop FairyPrincessCouture.Etsy.com and it's quickly taking over what I previously made and sold in my store. I am passionate about my bjd hobby and I'm looking forward to being more connected to the bjd community
