My interest in dolls began when my daughter received her first Corolle doll. My collection started with a few of those but most have been rehoused. In 2021 we acquired our first Smart Dolls and I acknowledged that I had become a doll collector.
My Smarties have several 1:3 dioramas where they reside. In 2024 I learned about Atelier Momoni dolls and I fell in love all over again. My collection of resin dolls has grown kind of rapidly, but it’s going to hold here for a while. I’m not really interested in others at the moment. I have both 1:4 and 1:6th scale now. I have a small vignette for the 1:4 and built a cardboard suitcase diorama for the 1/6 scale that I can switch out and easily store. Recently I also started remodeling Barbie folding houses for them. Sewing and crafting for my dolls and their dioramas along with photography are the main ways that I engage with them. I love miniature things and I can combine several hobbies this way.
