Kodona: A young, loving, emotional and slightly gullible boy who's had a rough start in life. After running away from home on his 16th birthday he was taken in by Iosha, and given a job in exchange for room and board.

Liam: Kodona's youngest brother. He's got somewhat of an innocent crush on Domiae.

Iosha: Kodona's teacher and guardian. A very somber and intelligent young man. Cares for Kodona very deeply and watches the little klutz like a hawk.

Torrekai: Iosha's younger brother. Torri- as he's called for short has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He's generally quiet and cut off from most conversations and dislikes Captive Souls. He tries not to go there, though he is fond of Kodona and doesn't want anything bad to happen to the kid. Torri was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 11, and still sometimes struggles with the condition. Its made him shy and self-conscious, not too eager to be around strangers.

Domiae: An other worldly being related in a small way to Kodona. Having his DNA mixed with Kodona's is what gave Kodona his deep red hair and icy colored eyes. Domiae is completely blind, and is of frail health. He has a talent for calming people when they're upset.

Noah: Noah is loud, rude, crude and life is one big party to him. Sex drugs and rock and roll! He enjoys pestering the twins to the point of exhaustion, and making Dakota laugh.

Dakota: Dakota is a shy, quiet handsome boy next door type. Very gentle and softspoken, he lets most people walk all over him to avoid any sort of confrontation. He has a big crush on Noah, who's mostly oblivious.
