Zinnia

Maker:
Fairyland
Head Sculpt:
Rian
Skintone:
NS/WS (Custom dyed Magenta by me)
Body:
Realfee Dragon body
Sex:
Female
  • Face-up artist(s):
    Me (BlueRoseArkelle)
    Body blushing artist(s):
    Me (BlueRoseArkelle) - (click under "image" tab to see her Dragon Fruit body blushing!)
    Modifications artist(s):
    Me (BlueRoseArkelle) - Slight waist minimization/feminization mod (was originally a boy body)
    Date of acquisition:
    May 1st, 2020
    Provenance:
    Purchased as an in-stock Full Package by me through DDE
    Reason for choice:
    I had just received my Fairyland Fairyline Erda dragon boy and was completely smitten with the dragon body so I was eager to get more dragon dolls like him. I soon remembered that Fairyland had made Realfee versions of the body a while back but they were no longer able to be ordered, but DDE still had some in stock so I grabbed one right up! I also had a Realfee May a few years ago and I really loved the size so I thought getting a little buddy to go alongside my big dragon would be the perfect reason to own one again!
    Best Points:
    I really love how easy Realfees are to pose and the range of poses they are able to do! They have the same natural and graceful posing like Fairyland's bigger dolls, but are much more sturdy on their feet and easier to get into complex poses because of their tiny size. I absolutely adore all their dragon parts too, of course!
    Worst Points:
    The neck is very short on the Realfee body, so I added a small non-permanent extender block to the neck hole for a little extra length. I wish there were hand options for Realfees considering that every other Fairyland line has lots of extra hands.
  • Eyes:
    Souldoll 12mm (can't remember the type)
    Wig:
    Custom made by me - Caron Simply Soft Yarn in white, hand speckled with black spots
    Favourite colours:
    Magenta, bright greens, white, black, gold
    She is styled in the theme of the Dragon Fruit (Pitaya), if that wasn't obvious haha~
  • Name story:
    My fantasy human/dragon hybrid dolls are all named after flowers. Since she is themed around the Dragon Fruit I considered calling her "Pitaya" as that is the proper name for the Dragon Fruit tree/fruit/flowers, however, I didn't really like to sound of it for a person's name and also the actual Pitaya flower itself is typically white and I like for the color of the flower specifically to match the color scheme of the character. Thinking a bit on other options I remembered that I really loved the flower, "Zinnia", as a name. I first heard it used as a name in "Pokemon Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire" when I played it for the first time some years ago and loved the name so much that I immediately looked up its origin and discovered it was actually the name of a flower. Looking at the flower again I noticed how it has petals that resemble layered mermaid/dragon scales and bloom in vibrant magenta, white or yellow sometimes with bright green accents in the center just like the colors of Dragon Fruit, and I knew it was the perfect name for my girl! Also, Zinnia in Pokemon Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire was a Dragon type Pokemon trainer, so it was doubly fitting to have my dragon character named after similarly dragon-themed character.
    Character age:
    ? (Not sure yet how my dragon characters age so I'm not sure on the exact number, but I tend to think she's about 10 years old in terms of development)
    Character gender:
    Female
    Offsite roleplay:
    This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
    Will add a proper character explanation here once i've figured it out more haha~

    Beautiful little dragon! Did you sand her at all before dyeing? I am curious because I have been researching the process for doing my own.

      Thank you so much!!~ <3
      No, I did not sand her before dyeing (accept for her waist which I had modded smaller). Typically you want to avoid sanding any part of the doll before dyeing. Any sanded areas are going to take dye differently (usually in the form of darker/less saturated colored streaks) than unsanded areas.
