First owner, purchased through Denver Doll during discontinuation sale.

Reason for choice:

I had a Doll Chateau Bella who I really liked, but wanted a smaller version of her. I decided that the Chilli sculpt was similar, and after waiting for the right time for a couple of years, Chilli was getting discontinued. She wasn't a very popular sculpt, so finding her second hand wasn't likely happening. I ordered her before her discontinuation, and I don't regret it.

Best Points:

Moody face that looks like the DC Bella face. Poses really well. The hands are a newer design than those of the very first B27-004 and look a lot better. Body looks like that of an early teen, which adds variety to my small doll group.

Worst Points:

Strung very tightly, barely can get the head off after 1.5 years of ownership, will need to replace with slightly longer elastic. Feet are really narrow but too long for standard YOSD sized shoes. Recently scraped the inside of the head trying to get the head off, will need to inspect S hook and possibly use pliers to change the s hook's shape to prevent further scraping.

Name story:

Windsor is a name with a refined history. However, it also reminds me of British Punk. Using a name associated with royalty for a doll's first name is the kind of irreverence I'm going for.

Windsor is an orphan. She doesn't remember her parents because they died when she was a baby. She got adopted by her grandparents shortly after, and despite their best efforts, she has never been an easy child. By that I mean her grandparents blame their granddaughter for their child's death. After a heated argument between the three, Windsor got on a train heading as far away as possible from her old home with the last of her allowance. The next day, Aleister found a teenager with very long dark blonde hair asking for directions and maybe for something to eat. Aleister could tell there was something wrong as the child fought back tears, and after a stack full of pancakes at a local diner, Aleister was able to learn of her plight. He reassured the girl that he would get in touch with her grandparents, and upon talking to them reached the agreement that she could live with him (her grandparents really just dropped Windsor off to some guy they've never met). Upon setting up Windsor's room and filling out mountains of paperwork, Windsor finally felt at home for the first time in her life.
