Reason for choice:

The Cecilia sculpt made a lot of sense for the character Vriska and the way I sympathized for her at the time. The body seemed to suit some fanart of Vriska and I loved the aesthetic. I had found out that Doll Love and Angel of Dream were sister companies with the same resin at the time, as with DollZone and Doll Chateau, and I knew DollZone WS and Angel of Dream WS were supposed to be a good match. I made a mockup and decided the look worked well. Doll Love heads were also very affordable and I love their style.

Best Points:

The expression of the face and the stylization of the body, and how they suit each other visually even if not stability-wise. The expressiveness of her poses and the way she moves. This doll embodies the idea of "Sad Vriska" as opposed to how she is portrayed later in the story, and I think the hybrid suits that idea very well.

Worst Points:

The body doesn't stand very well with the extra joints (I may take them out actually) and the neck and head do not fit together well at all. While I like the cartoon-ish look, the head on the neck is not stable and may need some modification to keep it from jerking around when not careful. The forehead is also a little large, but otherwise I really love the sculpt of both the head and body. Unfortunately, the body and head have not quite yellowed at the same rate and now look a bit off in person.

Eyes:

Temp. pink acrylic that came with Laika forever ago. Will commission custom ones at some point, or make them.

Wig:

Cheap long black one from ACBJD. Needs styling, I might attempt a yarn wig instead now I know how to make them.

I plan to either style her wig like Vriska in Homestuck or make a new one for her. I have considered making her a "Humanstuck" version of the character with ginger/red/carrot color hair instead. Unfortunately even having been in her box for years means she has yellowed a bit and blue blushing might be hard to pull off, but I still want to see this project through and hopefully still pull it off.

Name story:

Vriska is the name of the Homestuck character I was going to make her into. When I was considering making her an original character or Humanstuck Vriska, the name "Beatrix Weaver" just sort of came to me. It suits a spider-themed character, and has witchy vibes.

Character age:

Although Vriska in canon is 13-16 and only becomes an adult in the epilogue/Beyond Canon series, this version of Vriska embodied in the doll is an adult.
