Veronica was a punk girl in the late 1980s. Her mother left her when she was a child and her father was an abusive alcoholic. Whenever a punk band played a show locally, she would do everything to go to the show, even calling into work. That's where she met Lazzareth, the vampire that she had a one night fling with and upon him becoming infatuated by her and not wanting to let her go, brought her to his apartment. She somehow made a cut on him and drank his blood while he was drinking hers, which accidentally turned her into a vampire. Laz wouldn't let Veronica leave his side and his roommate, Silas, became over controlling with her. She hated him for several months and didn't want to believe in the whole vampire thing. Laz used to mix her drinks with blood so she wouldn't get sick until she eventually started to get used to life as a vampire.
