Purchased head directly from the artist. Body purchased secondhand via DoA.

Reason for choice:

Fell in love with the concept art and decided we'd buy two to be twins. Many years later, we hadn't really developed the characters so I decided to repurpose the heads as a more realistic version of Tyrian (originally a Psyche X).

Best Points:

Beautiful nose and lips.

Worst Points:

Some transitions between the planes of the face are a bit crude and the eyewells need beveling. Small details, but I can see why Julia elected to refine and re-release the sculpt.
Creaky, floppy old Hound body. ;)

The Roderich sculpt was based on Julia Cross' fan art concept of Austria from Hetalia Axis Powers.
The head was originally released as a period limited order from October 3-30, 2010 in three resin tones: Tan/Volks Normal/Volks White. The order process was disorganized and many customers received NS heads rather than the WS heads they had ordered, including myself and my partner. We elected to keep them, as it seemed easier to find a body with a good resin and proportion match.

Tyrian has lived many lifetimes, none of which he recalls and all of which were cut short violently. He spent most of these in miserable military careers while spiraling closer to another soul who is this time his older brother Ashly. Now that they are both aware of their history of attachment, Ashly is doing his utmost to keep Tyrian with him, up to and including stuffing Tyrian's wandering soul into a new hijacked body every time he has a fatal accident. To celebrate his escape from his usual fate, Tyrian is currently pursuing a very tame and preciously artful career as a countertenor.
