Reason for choice:

I saw someone with this sculpt as their OC and thought, "huh, that would make a GREAT Shigaraki". But I figured that a limited sculpt from 2021 from an apparently-obscure company would be impossible to get and I was sad that I probably wouldn't find him before losing interest in the MHA series. I almost gave up. Within about 1.5 weeks he basically became my unattainable grail. Then I was looking for pics of Ian on DoA and, lo and behold, someone in 2023 said he was still available on New Clover Singing's website!! I went there to check, and asked NCS on Instagram if he was still available to order and he was!! At that point, it was fate.

Also, I love his creepy grin and enthusiasm for doing horrible, despicable things :) perfectly in character. This Shiggy is Shiggy having a GREAT time.

Best Points:

His expression, hands down. I love him so much. <3

Worst Points:

He isn't the best poser, can't stand freely (that may be due to his shoes being too big) and his hand sculpt doesn't suit the poses I want so I will be getting him jointed ones at some point... but all these things can be fixed.

Whatever he feels like wearing and throws on at the time. He doesn't really have a more distinct look than his basic villain look, which... is not very sophisticated but it works.

The hands placed on his limbs and face, when I make them.

His pencil "faceup" is temporary, he will get a new one in time!!

Name story:

Tomura Shigaraki is the character from MHA... he used to have a different name but that's in his (very repressed) past... Tomura means "to mourn" and Shigaraki is his master's surname, apparently.
