Reason for choice:

I was on the lookout for a good sculpt for a middle-aged man, and after the myriad of pretty bishie-boys I've seen over the years, and the few and far between very craggy/wrinkly faces that have cropped up, the V-07 sculpt was a whole different animal - he looks older, but not as craggy as most other old-man sculpts.
The body was on a very good sale (40% off), so I made an almost-blind buy, not knowing if it would work on the head. But it does! :D

Best Points:

Great sculpt - the head has equally great potential to look older or younger; very realistic proportions.
Body was great for the price.

Worst Points:

No complaints with the head! :D
The body is a little loose in the hips. I hot glue sueded them, but they still flop all over the place.

Doesn't really have one, but if pressed, he'd probably begrudgingly say orange.

He only has his jumpsuit. Well, and Power Armor, but he doesn't really use it that much any more.

Signature scent: oak, blue chamomile, rhubarb, and fig leaf (BPAL Lawful); slightly fresh-and-sweet from the fruits and herb, but very woodsy from the oak - rigid and somehow melancholy.

Name story:

I heard the name Mathis somewhere along the way; I was all like 'oooh, this is a new character now!' and he spontaneously created himself. For his first name, I wanted something that could have a cute nickname that he could hate; his kind-of-sort-of girlfriend can call him Teddy on occasion (which he likes, but would never admit it, and he would hate it if anyone else called him that), and his adoptive kids can tease him by calling him Theo without it bothering him too much. :3

Mathis is kind of an amalgam of all the 'get off my lawn' types - the scruffy, just-so-slightly worse for the wear, tired out middle aged/old man. Think a (not so angry) Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino, McCoy from Star Trek, a (less aggressive) John McClaine type, and/or Jack Morrison/Soldier 76 from Overwatch. I likes my angsty old guys! XD

In his story though, he's been to war; he's seen some stuff, done some stuff that he's not proud of. Technically a deserter, he's basically a teacher now, and a glorified babysitter for a group of teenagers. The armed militia they all live with want Mathis to train them in the ways of glorious battle, but he doesn't want to do that kind of stuff anymore.
