Reason for choice:

I am a big fat Dragon Age dork and I lovehate the Ultimate Butthead, Solas. I'll get more into the body choice below.

Best Points:

Absouletly gorgeous sculpting, both of the head and body. The head is very close to screen accurate, which torments my whole entire soul in ways you just don't know.

Worst Points:

The posing of the Timeless body was not quite what I'd hoped it would be. Also, despite the MASSIVE neck hole in the Solas head, it is a wee bit on the dinky side for the length of the 5thMotif neck.

Let me start off by saying that when I researched a body for this head, I mean I. RE. SEARCHED.
For, like, days.
It allllll started with a little game called dRaGoN aGe, which gave me a beautiful smarty-pants elf boyfriend and then when I had a great big heart full of feelings, took that and slapped it straight on the ground and did a little jig on it. I cried about it. Like a lot.
And then I found out that Natrume had sculpted my awful elf man into a cold, hard, resin form to match his evil little jerk heart!
And of course, y'know, N E E D.
So then I was faced with a conundrum: I have BadMan head, but no BadMan body. What do?
Thus began my journey into finding the p e r f e c t body for Solas. Which I only sorta succeeded in i guess, but whatever. My first task was to find out what resin colors were a good match for Natrume's NS. The etsy shop listed it as a good match to Volks NS, which became my reference point. From there I looked into all the BJD companies that had a good match for Volks NS. Once I had compiled that list, I narrowed it down into male bodies only. Then I compared neck circumferences (when I could FIND them) to the neck opening for Solas. Luckily, I had at some point in my quest found the original post about the project here on DOA, which listed the exact doll body he was sculpted to fit. Unfortunately that body seems very hard to find and also I hate it.
So once I had a list of male sculpts with the right size neck and matched Volks NS (not a terribly long list by the by) I compared the body profiles to that of the in-game model. Et Voila! The 5thMotif Timeless body had the right mix of muscle and lank (and yaoi hands tbh) to make the cut.
The neck fits like an absolute glove, unfortunately Venitu has a very deep neck well, sculpted high into the head, and Solas… doesn't. The effect is something like a horrific giraffe. Luckily, in costume its not terribly noticeable, thanks to the high collar.
