Shidare-zakura is a tree spirit tied to sakura trees and more specifically to the culture of trees that he shares his name with --- Shidarezakura, the weeping cherry blossom. He resides in Kyoto, Japan and can be seen mostly around trees of his culture. His favourite time of the year is spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom and all the country's people come out for cherry blossom viewings. He has a gentle, calm and very patient temperament.

He was initially designed as a male spirit, but over the years he has determined that he is neither male nor female. I use male pronouns with him because it is something that I've gotten used to.
