Being the Senior Scribe of the elemental conclave of Earth... the infamously slow-moving Court of the Obsidian Circle... isn't exactly the most exciting job in the White City, but that suits Rajin just fine. It gives him plenty of time to work on his Collected History of the Elemental Deliberative or his Lives of the Incarna, or any one of the dozen other perpetually-unfinished manuscripts cluttering his workspace. Someday he may even finish one of them.

Of course, then he would have to find an editor...
