  • Face-up artist(s):

    Date of acquisition:
    August 17th, 2024
    Provenance:
    Korea
    Reason for choice:
Uniqueness of sculpt and color palette, matches my diva lavender so she has a friend
    Best Points:
Exquisitely painted body with amazing choice of color, 1/6 size body means many fashion doll clothes will fit well
    Worst Points:
Non-custom wigs do not look good on doll because of ears, have to be mindful of cap thickness due to magnets for horns
Pleroma is a dollpamm Diva Freesia, a special full set release limited to 50 with custom blushing, painting, and face-up by the same artist who sculpted Diva, dr. Mes.

I bought Pleroma second hand from the incredibly lovely amandasueBJD, who makes incredible adorned horn accessories for dolls and I highly recommend checking out her wares! The COA was included, as was the full set for Freesia: eyes, a dress, and a wig. Out of serendipity, the standard wig and eyes for the Lavender Diva were also included!!

Unfortunately, the wigs that these divas came with are not made to accommodate their special head sculpt, so while the colors and style are very fitting, the wigs look awkward when placed on the head. I do, however, intend to make a project of harvesting these wigs to make wefts for custom-sized Diva wigs in the future :)

  • Name story:
Pleroma is a concept in theology that refers to the “totality of divine powers”. When searching for a name for Pleroma, I knew I wanted her name to contrast with Satori’s. While Satori is directly a reference to the Legend of Zelda series, the word also has significance in Japanese Buddhist theology as the concept of reaching spiritual enlightenment (“awakening”). In pondering this name, I asked for advice from my partner, who likes to study theology and religious mysticism, and was offered “Pleroma” specifically due to the Gnostic concept of all things (and more specifically, Aeons) forming back together from the point in which they were created, forming Pleroma (“fullness” or “wholeness”). Similar to Satori, it has a sense of finality to it that I find fitting for such an other-worldly creature.
    Character age:
Probably ancient, considering her ethereal look
    Character gender:
    Unknown
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
