Reason for choice:

Elysia was the perfect grumpy looking sibling of idrisfynn's Volks Williams.
I had hoped to put the head on a Hypermaniac Ksy body and so originally purchased the head in orientalskin. The body was impossible to find though, so when the paleskin 15yr body I ordered for my white Volks F-30 head didn't match, I decided to keep it for Pauline and just order her a new head. Probably the only time I didn't want a white doll but ended up with one anyway.

Best Points:

Gorgeous weighty resin. A sculpt that has both gravitas and refined detail. The reversed-from-standard hip joints means underwear doesn't get eaten by the hip socket.

Worst Points:

Torso joint can only bend back, so no slouching. The body is discontinued so there is no hope of a revised version with double-jointed knees and elbows, which would be nice since she is limited to very formal poses. Her head is a bit large for the body, which makes her hands look too small.

She's difficult to find clothing for, which turned out to be great fun. She wears mostly Apple Avenue pieces with corsets made by a local seamstress whose name I wish I could remember, topped with repurposed Anna Sui and Vivienne Westwood handkerchiefs. Shoes from Luts, Leeke and DollHeart (SD13 boy size). Piles of jewelry mostly made by me.

The Harding and Adams families have been close for several generations, but Pauline is the first Adams to actually join the Harding household. She is the mother of Cassidy, Saoirse, Roshan and Ciaran; sister of Sean; cousin of Alexander, Maeve and Gabriel.
Now that her children are all old enough to be attending school, she finally has some time to think about her own interests again - things like confectionery, experimental textiles, chemistry, and her shiny new first! husband Blackpool.
