Omi is a cat. Not any cat... he's a cat that can talk. How? Well he tells a crazy story about how he died and met the rabbit in the moon and his master a great and powerful dragon. Stripped of his most precious belonging, he was given the gift of speech and a job. He was to tend to ghosts... specifically the spirits of children as they past through the underworld to their final destination... but one child, one child tested his will. Needless to say he ran away with this child and ended up in an orphanage run by a simple minded, happy guy... who for some reason doesnt find having ghosts and spirits around as odd at all.
