Long before I bought her I'd already decided her name, painstakingly flipping through a book of names and weighing each one. It sounds a little fancy and a little ominous, being the name of the main character from Swan Lake.

Odette is a witch, but she doesn't consider herself either "black" or "white". She deals with demons, she casts curses, and she performs necromancy rituals, but she also breaks hexes, banishes evil spirits, and creates protection spells. Her moral compass is a little off of north, but she's certainly not all bad. She lives in a small cottage in a swamp, and spends her days picking poisonous mushrooms and magical herbs, waiting for clients to stumble upon her home and ask for assistance. She has a demonic familiar in the form of a small, sheep-like creature named Belphegor (Doll Zone Heavy Rain). More than once she's summoned spirits and devils for menial tasks that she simply doesn't want to do herself, which is how she met Keagan, who has become her only genuine friend.
