Odette is a pretty, friendly, and kind young woman and completely, perfectly, absolutely normal. In a family of magicians that isn't really a good thing. The younger of two sisters with powerful magicians as parents, everyone expected when Odette was ready she would start showing signs of being as powerful a magician as her older sister Elora. For reasons unknown, Odette has not an ounce of magical ability while Elora displays great potential of becoming one of the most powerful magicians the world has ever seen. Now Odette has to decide what happens next. Does she go off to college somewhere far away where people don't know that real magic exists, or does she stay closer to home, to the magic she knows is real but can't touch?
