Reason for choice:

I tend to choose little known sculpts for some reason, and at that moment RD was a very new company with all sorts of promotional discounts AND there was no known Ran's around, and his pics looked wonderful and suitable for the character so voila.

Best Points:

Even though it's a very old doll, it's surprisingly highly poseable, something I couldn't appreciate fully until I had other dolls. High Five to the younger Me for choosing this one as the first doll =D

Worst Points:

Unfortunately, some parts of my doll came from a bad batch, mostly legs and hands are somewhat fragile and prone to breakage.

As the doll got older and all sorts of problems like yellowing and breakage got worse, I understood that he had to transcend into a new character, one for whom yellowing and breakage wasn't a problem, because I wasn't going to throw my first doll away no matter how broken it was! Luckily I had a wide variety of OC's at my disposal, and so I figured he was pretty perfect for Oberon's character. To start with, Oberon was a fairy-like creature with grey skin/black hair/eyes, which later became black skin/eyes and grey hair, because I failed with dying him grey, it looked kinda greenish. so I just decided to go full black instead.
Another mod of sorts was getting the horns on his head, which I got from Synthetic Ephemera, unfortunately, there was no way for the magnets to hold them in place, so I ended up hard-gluing the horns onto his scalp. Another fun activity was carving holes in his wig for the horns to go through and look good in the process.

Oberon dresses in lose yet nice looking garments, for now, he has one full outfit that was made fully by me, and it was mostly influenced by Chinese drama TV shows I was watching at the moment, but I can't say it doesn't look like a kimono. I mostly envision him having all sorts of robe-like attires in silverish-black tones to emphasize his mysterious nature so it's something like that.

Name story:

It's a funny story really, I was trying to figure out his name when I was walking from work one day, and I saw it written on some company's windows or a car or something like it, and it seemed to be very fitting for my character who was one of the leaders of these fairy-like creatures. You can imagine my surprise when I found out the origins of this name. x)

Master of Equilibrium is his most fitting title for he is endlessly plotting to keep the balance in the world which makes him truly neutral to the most things in life, though in his own way he tries to stay benevolent if he can. Though he way seem careless he's very diligent in his duties, one of which is a mayor-like position in the dwelling of his people.
