Clumsy, gentle natured, and incredibly naïve. Nova has spent the entirety of his life housebound, shackled by the crippling effects of a baffling ailment. Or so he has been lead to believe. However, genetic afflictions aside, one cannot overestimate the power of teenage rebellion.

And on an evening of family tragedy, the opportunity presented itself. The possibility of unrestricted freedom.

The feelings of guilt still wash over him. To so coldly vanish, leaving his mother behind. His only family, and recently widowed to boot. But the sweet taste of the chaos outside has far outshined anything within the pristine sanitary walls of home. Sadly, being the only child of a notoriously shady politician brings it's own headaches. High people in high places do not like when their sense of order is disrupted. And with the shocking assassination of Nova's father, inner circles in the upper echelons of the Mountain City have begun to talk...and panic. Danger lurks in every nook. Every shadow a potential threat. And some of the predators stalking this escaped lamb are a little too close to home.
