Provenance:

Bought from suiko (shysuiko on DoA) via BJD Discord who bought the head and body separately originally. Came with the box of Elfdoll Wu, that was associated with the body IIRC. I am confident due to the history in feedback threads and whatnot that this doll is legit.

Reason for choice:

The face and faceup!! I love the vaguely concerned look she has- exactly the way I draw my BNHA self insert, and ngl the face shape is close to what I see in the mirror despite being slightly faceblind. I loved that the face wasn't overly made up, in particular the lip area as well as the rest.

Best Points:

The expression! Also despite being single jointed she stands VERY well, and the resin texture is really solid.

Worst Points:

Since the doll is Homme skin a hybrid would be difficult if not impossible to match, so instead I am modding the body to appear more feminine, with breasts etc. I'm nervous about it, but I think it can be done. I was worried the proportions (broad shoulders etc.) would be too masculine to work even with a chest mod, but I will have to see.

Not exactly an *accessory*, but her quirk is prehensile braids, and hers will go down to her ankles and are very posable-- when I make them.

Name story:

Jo is a name I use online and a variant of my name IRL. I haven't thought in depth about how it would be affected by her being a character residing in Japan, but her parents are from the USA so maybe they just didn't feel strongly about giving her a specifically Japanese name.

Pro Hero Spiral, the Braids Hero (the name Spiral has a complicated origin for her, being an autistic hero- she has been warned to avoid "spiraling out of control" and took the name as a complicated sort of mantra-slash-warning to herself. Shh- we're pretending the canon character with Spiral as a hero name just... doesn't exist. )

She gets hassled by villains and tries to stay mentally "above" any situation. This bothers villains like Dabi, who want all the attention they can get. Things get kind of intense.
