Jade is the daughter of Raven Valentine the school dean of Fortuna Academy. When she was born she was beginning to change as a vampire. Nobles are born not made, but the change doesn't usually begin until after puberty. Jade ripped open her mother and crawled out. She should have been killed at birth, but her father loved her and kept her. Jade completed her change at about the age of five. She will be this size as long as she lives. Her and her father have code words, if he tells her to 'act her age' she acts like a five year old, but is he tells her to 'behave herself' then she shows her true self.

Things get fuzzy around Jade in peoples minds, they always think she is just five, forget memories about her, and just except her as a little kid.
