I was looking for a more mature and realistic incarnation of my first doll. Arsene was sculpt number four for this character and perfectly embodies his soft, gentle spirit. It's been a long road, Gail--welcome home.

Intelligent, analytical, imaginative and polite to a fault, Gailan is the well-traveled son of globe-trotting nature photographers, travel writers and adventure novelists. Much to his chagrin, his parents have decided it’s time he put aside his obsession with cryptozoology and the paranormal and refocus on his formal education.

So begins his life at Hartlege University, where he falls in with the unlikeliest of suspects—sassy jokester Lysander and morose recluse Uriah.

These two soon suspect something is off about quiet, awkward Gailan, and not just the cringing accuracy of the unsocialized homeschooler trope. Twelve years ago, Gailan’s sister went missing… and he’s adamant she still awaits rescue.

The hitch in this classic call-to-adventure?

He claims she was taken by faeries.
