Name story:

I was looking for a name in connection with snakes/snake monsters. I looked in roman/greek mythologies and found Euryale, one of Medusa's sisters.

Euryale is a distant descendant of the Gorgons. Like the other mythical creatures, due to the loss of faith of humans in them, Euryale is diminished compared to his ancestors.
His main concern is to ensure his own descendants before beeing killed. The problem is that the humans he seduces die in childbirth. Moreover the surviving snakes resulting from these unions spread desolation in the human villages and are in the end always eliminated by monster hunters.

Originally living in Greece, he will settle in Japan after his encounter with the traveling oni called Ikazuchi. His goal is to seduce a yokai, who could perhaps prove to be more resistant than the humans.

He will finally settle down with Akebono, an male ogre who will run him assiduously until he gets his goal (=Euryale's love).
