El was the only daughter of Scroll Keepers Nóliel & Laurion from a magical realm ('Land of the Invoques'). She would have been raised to be a Scroll Keeper too if not for the invasion of non-magical people which took place in her infancy. She grew up in a non-eventful mountain village instead under the care of two loyal house attendants she thought to be her grandparents. In her teen years, she demonstrated giftedness and a strong thirst for knowledge, which drove her to Cyanyte Academy - School of Alchemy and Astrology. She excelled in Palaeography and accidentally activated a portal to the magical realm hidden in the Academy when she chanted the ancient scripts engraved on the seal.
