That SCOWL omg. A local BJD owner has a Saint who I adore, they were the reason I found Dollshe and fell in love with this sculpt.

Lockable joints, his epic slouching capabilities...have I mentioned his scowl? ;)

His face plate falls off every now and then...

When I bought Desmond I was told he'd take a year to arrive by the people in the Dollshe discussion thread...three weeks later he arrived at my door without a shipping notice. I was gobsmacked. His record was only beaten by Ragnar, who arrived in a mind blowing NINE DAYS. Des is also the holder of the record of the most times any doll has damaged their own face up. Face protectors are his mortal enemy apparently.

Name story:

His first name is a reference to one of my favourite characters in Assassin's Creed, Desmond Miles; while Alessandro is a reference to his mother's name. The rest all came from random name generators with a Persian-Italian influence, referencing his heritage.

Story universe: A Clash of Worlds

Desmond is a person of many facets. As an assassin he is well conditioned to keeping secrets, getting anything out of him that isn't need-to-know is near impossible. He is one of the most skilled of his peers, with a long list of documented assassinations and one longer still of unlisted ones. When he's not taking down high-profile targets, he's a quiet and unassuming bartender at Azrael's favourite nightclub.

Desmond and Azrael have been best friends since high school, through their relationship goes beyond that as they're basically soulmates, though it takes them decades to realise. Des was the weird international kid with the long curly hair and the strange accent. People were always a little wary of him, and his wheelchair-bound father too. There was an air of mystery around them. An air of Other-ness.
Desmond is fiercely protective of Azrael as well as his niece Estella, and Valeriana (though she's technically his guardian...), and he blames himself for bringing his world into Azrael's. It was his decision ultimately, to not walk Azrael home the night he was attacked and possessed by Salmarnir.

...oh yeah and he's also a prince with an illegitimate son...

Story universe: Of Gods and Monsters

Desmond is the quiet bassist and backup vocalist for the band. He is known to other bands members as Nasir. The band suspects he may be romantically involved with Terminus.
