Originally, I bought him to be a different character, because he had the right look and all the right piercings for Elendae, but the more I looked at him, the more I decided that he looked more like Chrissy than anyone else, especially with the right faceup.

In Sareinan, there are two major deities: Falaron and Siltharion. Siltharion is the Great Mother Goddess and Falaron is the new god trying to weasel his way in and take her place. Falaron is not a good guy. His most loyal followers do their best to pass him off as a loving god, but that he is most definitely not. Christopher was promised to the Cult of Falaron when he was a child, after his parents were taken by the plague, and there was no one left to protect him from them.

He was used. Abused. Chastised and shamed for his beauty and kindness. When he chose to become a priest, he thought he was doing so to help people overcome their sins and move on toward the light. However, all he was really doing was furthering the corruption inside the Cult. That is, until he met Ellie, who was hiding from Knight Commander Varen in one of the pews. Christopher didn't understand how or why he was attracted to Ellie, since he'd never been attracted or interested in anyone in his life. Yet here this fair-haired angel was. The two of them started an affair and Ellie eventually convinced Christopher to leave Falaron's Cult and join the Temple of Siltharion.

Christopher later learned that the reason he was so attracted to Ellie was that Ellie was half of a Fynvain-fain, a lesser god with the power to manipulate the heart and body, but also, and more importantly than that, that they were mates, a bond that goes beyond anything mortal or immortal.
