Name story:

I used to have two porcelain dolls, one named Cheryl and one named Jane. I combined their names to be Charyne, but her name is spelled Cheron now to 1.) emulate the name of Charon (the Greek mythological figure who escorts souls across the River of Styx), 2.) so "Ero", as in Eros or eroticism, is in her name, and-- lastly-- 3.) so "Chero", as in cherophobia, would be in her name as well. Alphard is the name of a star I like, and Necroxo is Cheron's husband's last name.

As the tale goes: a hundred years ago, the gods of Love and Death sought to destroy all mortals deeming them as cowards only capable foresaking one another and their gods. In their rage, they sapped living souls of love, and they doomed dead souls to an eternity in Limbo.

Standing in Love and Death's way was Charlevoix, the young and inexperienced goddess of chaos. Charlie sought to reset living souls to their happier state from eons before. She also sought to guide dead souls from Limbo to the heavenly afterlife, as the gods had promised. Outnumbering Charlie, Love and Death shattered her heart, kept most shards, and sealed Charlie deep in the Earth.

However, Charlie's mortal lover Juno stole a single shard, harnessed its power, freed Charlie, and recaptured her heart. With the help of a powerful group of humans, Charlie and Juno tried to stop Love and Death's onslaught. In the end, Love and Death were petrified in their monstrous states, like a reprehensible Lovers of Valdaro. Although Charlie and Juno mitigated the damage, Love and Death sent the two youths into a deep, deep sleep. The impact of the spell caused Charlie's heart to shatter again. The shards scattered across the globe.

As collateral of the battle, billions of people transformed into monsters whose grotesque features evolved from the severity of their lifelong regrets. This event was titled the Revelation, and its effects still haunt Earth. The average Earthling's lifespan has decreased, and many resort to desperate, violent measures for survival.

However, infinitely before all this, as well as infinitely after all this, Love was a girl. She was a troubled girl with a troubled boyfriend. The two of them decided it would be most romantic to elope and plummet off their favorite scenic spot, holding each other all the while. This is how Cheron and her lover discovered they were immortal. It was also how they discovered that was the least of their problems.
