Cole is one of my D&D characters, a Tiefling warlock. His parents bartered him off at a young age to a devil, who essentially raised him and became his warlock patron (a very power-imbalanced relationship). Cole was a miscreant criminal kid, running errands for his master. Eventually he was reunited with his sister, and found a healthy relationship with another young man named Adrian, both of whom are positive influences. Aided by Adrian's uncle, Cole took on a fairy queen as a new warlock patron, forsaking the devil who raised him - who is not taking it well. As part of an ongoing and creative punishment, this former patron turns Adrian into a cat - and Cole gets mixed up in various adventures trying to find a solution to this problem. One day, he will have to face his former master...
