Continuation of my Dark Forest Tales bunch.
This foto is unavailable conditions, because the head which the character holds is his own head.
Basil West was a unprincipled guy and succesful journalist, but one day his luck left him. He became the victim of a maniac doctor whose crimes he was investigating himself. His head was the only thing that remained intact after his death.
But young necromancer Ferenc gave him new "life" as his servant. Now Basil looks like the head of the Headless Horseman. When he needs Ferenc creates the etheric body that looks like a real one.
Sometimes Ferenc lets his faithful dog go for a walk and have fun, but Basil always returns to the magician's castle. Of course, he tried to escape, but he did not like going back to his master, rolling along the road, and he gave up trying. His current body is his collar and his payment for faithful service.
At the rest of the time Basil's head is kept in a magic glass cloche, which helps to keep the head imperishable.
