    Reason for choice:
    The unique head sculpt!
    Best Points:
Her faceup! It's gorgeously done and I love the detail.
    Worst Points:
The body is very spindly and rather unstable - it's also very tightly strung, so it doesn't pose very well yet.
  • Character age:
    25
    Character gender:
Nonbinary - both heads respond to any pronouns, but often use "they, we, us" in a collective sense when referring to themselves.
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is available for offsite roleplay.
    Personality:
Ayumi is very mature and level-headed, and very good at both staying calm under pressure and keeping a poker face. She's generally friendly, but due to teaching herself to be distant from others, she rarely opens up or is honest about her emotions. She carries an immense amount of grief due to her role in humanity's downfall, and because of this isolates herself from any remaining living creatures.

Ami, her counterpart, is incredibly tense and nervous all of the time. She too grieves heavily, but much more openly - she often appears very sad or afraid, and is easily startled and driven to tears. Her emotions are extremely up and down, and she tends to have visible mood swings. Indeed Ayumi is almost like her caretaker, due to her being incredibly unstable and not good at interaction or proper self care.

    Biography:

Ayumi was descended from a long line of humans, once demons, that bore a curse. Centuries ago, a demon fell in love with a human and abandoned hell to be with them. As punishment, all of their descendents would be infested with a demon sharing their body, and they were warned that one day they would be the cause of humanity's downfall if they loved it so much.

Years passed, and learning to hide and cope with your literal "inner demon" was commonplace for all of Ayumi's family line. She, too, learned to talk to and coexist with Ami, the incredibly anxious demon that shared her form. For the most part she lived a normal life up until the event, working in a library and living alone, although notably rather unlucky in love.

However, one day, Ayumi noticed a strange gray patch forming on her hand. It didn't itch ot hurt, but it was worrying, and so she went to the doctor to have it checked. Tests showed an incredibly strange looking pathogen in her blood, and further work was scheduled.

Ayumi was unaware that her family's years of prophecy were coming true, and she was now the passive carrier of a destructive and deadly disease. All it took was for one person at the hospital to be infected before it began to spread at an incredibly rapid pace - first to families, then to the rest of the town, and to cities beyond.

International news began to report. People dropped like flies. Doctors rushed to search for some kind of antidote. But Ayumi and Ami knew in their hearts it was too late, and were forced to watch as the human race slowly faded away into nothingness.

Their skin continued to turn gray, and Ami took physical form as a face on the back of their head. As the world grew emptier, they began to wander alone, realizing they were no longer in need of food or water. They carried with them the burden that something inside them had brought down everyone in the world, and began to live a lonely and grieving existence, devoid of any hope.

It wasn't until one of the few immune people on the planet encountered them - a strange fairy-like alien named Juniper - that they would begin to find some semblance of healing.
