In all honesty, August and Athena used to hate each other as young children. However, soon they realized that their style and personality differences could actually draw them together. August is afraid of bugs and snakes to the point that she will hyperventilate. She is shy around people she doesn't know and also is the "mother hen" of the group. She often tries to tell Vahn and Carter what they should and should not be doing and what can get them in trouble. She has a small crush on Carter but won't bring herself to actually say anything or admit it to even Athena.
