Name story:

Ash/Ashtoreth came from a bunch of mythological digging. Ash I mostly needed so that Liriel had something to call her, a little connection.

Ash is Liriel’s lover, and currently the forgotten goddex of the 10th hell. Which is a metal as hell title. I’ve use she/her, they/them, ve/ver and a few other sets of pronoun for them, and nothing has quite stuck yet.

Ash began as the soul Asmodeus was caught with, the night she was damned, then they ended up an angel, had a long-term affair with his (ex?)lover, and carved out their own hiding place in Hell when she and her lover fell, and they knew Asmodeus, a jealous ruler, would hold against them both is own fall and the affair. They carved out a demiplane to be her deliverance.
