Amadis means "beloved maiden" in her native dialect of Lake Elvish. Amadis has ambivalent feelings on this, but she like how it sounds.

Amadis is a somewhat estranged 8th daughter of the noble elf clan of Morning-Mists-over-Lakewater. She lives on her own in a city built on a trans-dimensional hub, and travels to many different fantastical places. On and off she is involved in rare materials procurement, searching for artefacts, rare plants and animals, books and other items. When at home, she likes to read poetry, play music and make herbariums.
