Alice has albinism; a genetic condition resulting in white skin and hair, sensitivity to sunlight, eyes that appear red, and impaired vision. Because of this, she is mostly nocturnal and spends nearly all of her time indoors. Her favorite place is the library.

Alice loves to read, though it can be difficult due to her condition. She is mostly blind, but with her glasses, she is able to make out black words against white paper if the font is large enough. She prefers to read braille, but so few books have been translated, she feels as though she’s read them all.
