Unoa Zero

Alchemic Labo released his first SD sized sculpt, the Unoa Quluts Zero through a Hobby Japan magazine preorder back in 2007.The Unoa Zero, affectionately nicknamed Unon by Araki, is a 62cm doll released in kit form like the other in the series. The basic kit includes two faceplates, Latea and Marion and other complementing extras such as resin shoes, eyes and wig, which differs from each release.

When the Zero was released in 2007, it featured very unique engineering not commonly seen in the BJD community at that point of time, such as the under bust joint, hidden upper thigh slot and an inverted neck joint. Araki had further enhanced her overall look by sculpting several small inserts to cover up all visible slots like the inner elbow, back of knee and wrist joints, which would otherwise expose the elastic beneath. The Zero has rarely been seen in Araki's own doll exhibitions.

Release Info[edit]

Although highly sought after, Unoa Zeros were not produced in large numbers. Alchemic Labo sold its production rights to Hobby Japan, and sale of the Zero are subjected to sporadic magazine pre-order periods as dictated by Hobby Japan.

As of now, there have only been 4 release periods of Marion and Latea.
