Silicone Eyes

Silicone eyes, also known as soft glass eyes, are usually handmade in batches. Advantages include their "squishy" texture, which means they are more easily able to fit a variety of eye wells, and their ease of care. They also have some of the more realistic appearances and are not likely to crack or break, but can in some cases tear. Disadvantages can include air bubbles which form over time and can partially or wholly obstruct the colors of the iris and pupil. Silicone eyes may also attract dust and will require more frequent, gentle cleaning. In some more uncommon cases, pupils/irises can be "blown-out" out over time, meaning the coloration of either/both iris or pupils will bleed over.
