Glass Eyes

Glass eyes are handcrafted by glassworkers. Advantages include a wide variety of colors, styles, and prices. Because they are handmade, pairs of eyes may have flaws such as air bubbles or uneven pupils. Types of glass eyes include hollow blown-glass or solid glass with round or flat backs. Some of the higher quality eyes come from glassmakers in Europe. New glassmakers in China are now offering alternatives in a large range of colors. Volks' Zoukeimura team creates eyes in Japan for their FCS dolls. Some individual artisans offer glass eyes for auction on Yahoo Japan. Glass eyes are sold by various DoA members on the marketplace or by group order.
