There also were some very nice dolls on display in the vendors' hallway, and I took pictures of a couple of them.





In the photo room, there were some amazing sets put together by the Olympia meetup group in which attendees could place their own dolls.

Could we please get artist credits? I'd really like to know who created the dioramas.

I took truely a lot of pictures -- so many amazing dolls, dioramas and talenet folks behind them. and even though it was all incredible scene by scene, somehow the melange of setups and surroundings compounded it somehow. I don't know that I'm making sense... been going on little sleep for days getting ready for this thing. XD

Mostly I didn't get a sense of what dolls belonged to who, but I'll note it where i can. anyway... pictures!

Thanks to Candygears for inviting the Olympia group to bring our sets up for folks to photograph their dolls. Red_Delerium made an amazing bedroom in such a short time! Our parlour set was created some time back by my talented and generous husband; and he and Lirin created the fireplace for this exciting event. Nothing like a deadline to get those creative juices flowing!

Oh my gosh! Amazing!! Every single doll is so unique & the sets are fabulously creative. Wow. So beautiful. The event was really at the top of all those stairs? Must've been like climbing to heaven! XD

 

Oh my god so amazing! I wish I had been able to attend. I hope it happens again next year! XD

What a great event that was. Loved the building and the "atmosphere" it provided to the show. My hat is off to all of the artists who put together those amazing displays and entered the costume contest. So many hours of work involved there.

Had a great time in the Vendor Hallway meeting folks. Appreciated all of the fanfare that Alessandro received there. His picture was taken so many times that he came home with a bigger ego then before! Had a fun time talking to everyone and meeting Pris84! Bermanns rule!!!!!

Cat - I knew your boy as soon as I walked into the room. He was the first thing that caught my eye. What a fantastic doll. Wish you had been there.

 

Yesterday was amazing - I had no idea how many BJD folks there were around here - wow!!! Thanks so much to Candygears, the diorama artists, and everyone else who contributed to making this fabulous event happen!!!

Of course, I HAD to forget my camera - !

So, I'm loving seeing all the photos posted so far, but would REALLY love to see any and all of the pics folks took of their own dolls in the sets provided in the meet-up room - pretty please?

Clyde is the R.Heliot on the pedestal who was next to Bramble who was also on a pedestal. Both Clyde and Bramble were done up for me by Candygears. They are 'Little Cow Harbor' creatures at their best. Clyde is my 'heart breaker of a horse' who is 'my little pony' all grown up. Bramble is a swamp fairy who will go on to marry, well, ... you'll see. Bramble will someday marry Laurant.

i would love to see any and all photos that anyone took of the vendors, their own dolls, more pictures of the snacks, and the outrageous stairway.

i am so glad that everyone had a blast and i cannot thank Candygears enough. she put on an incredible show. ♥

MSD first place in the costume/customization contest


SD first place, my Zornon. He is a Dollshe Orijean that I dyed. His stand is by Froggy Duds on Etsy, his space pistol is by Robyn_in_WA, his eyes are black glass with orange irises turned sideways (I think from Dollmore), and his shoes are YuHao from Mint on Card, the rest was by me.

I was expecting a zombie gurgle to bubble out whenever I passed by. Loved the details

 

A couple of corrections on the 2nd post. The broken robot was done by me, Keekster. And the girl in white with the brown wig was done by ferns.

Christy!!! Wow - your photos are works of art!!! Love the pictures you did so much. the photo of Clean Slate's foot with the sofa is amazing. And you so capture the avenging expression of Uriel's face! You should do a book of your photos.

So amazing and fun! I'm so glad I got to go, it was really beautiful and I cannot express how many glorious and adorable dolls there were...just like...a lot..and two Iplehouse Carinas omg -lucky- Also there was so much beautiful and interesting art everywhere...wonderful! Wish I could have identified more people to put faces with names, but alas!Thank you so much Candygears and everyone else who helped bring this event together! I'll be posting pictures up soon!

This looks like an amazing meet/convention. All the dolls are absolutely stunning! I must ask though-- Kiyakotari, your girl who's coming out of the mirror, is that a modded Unoa Akubi? If not, what type of doll? I can't quite tell! Thanks!

Thanks guys! Kiyakotari's awesome girl is a Bleu Citron head on an old Volks SD body... but I'm sure she'll give you some more details I can't remember.

 

This was an absolute blast! But now I know for next year, only ONE SD as there was no room for mine and Sheleeta's dollies. ^.^ My little dragon girl got a cute as hell dress there.

Asolutely wonderful!

 

Saralena, as candygears said, my mirror gal is a Notdoll Bleu Citron head on a very old (obviously modified) Volks SD10 girl torso. The arms are more recent (but still old) Volks SD10 girl arms, and her hands are twigLiMBS v1 junk casts. Her head and neck were modified by me so that the head would fit on the body, and then her eyes were opened and her head airbrushed to match the old, yellowed Volks NS by QuearvoS. I did all the esthetic work on her other than the eye opening and the resin matching, though my father helped me with sawing the torso to mount it on the mirror (he has this rule about not letting anyone use his power tools unless he's present), and I went to a local glasscutter for help with the mirror, as I don't have the equipment to safely drill glass myself.

 

Wonderful photos everyone and candygears. We met so many wonderful sweet, creative and friendly people. Such a satisfying event! Thanks to everyone for all the work and energy.

 

There's my baby! I was hoping someone would upload that picture soon, I just loved it when it was taken.

X3 I was actually really pleased that people started calling her the 'alien baby' because she is my little alien girl. Next meet she'll be all modded and aliened up, so she and Zornon should take some lovely pictures then!
