Places to shop for 14mm full glass eyes ?

Since you're in France: Kanis from Germany is closing shop and is running a clearance sale. I'm not sure what's left but take a look! They're blown glass.

 

Dealers like ACBJD and Legend Doll both have a selection of glass eyes available.

 

This is hard (at least for me). The only glass eyes that give me the full "follow you" effect are Old style Zoukeimura (And yes, Antique Rose with the same maker also count)

Zoukeimura does not make 14mm, and Antique Rose... Does make 14mm but they are very rare and quite expensive

Meanwhile, if you only want "follow you" effect and didn't really mind if it's not glass, some Urethane eyes makers like Mako, ED or Dollflower can easily offer a 14mm with "follow you" effect. So please make sure to check those out.

 

Ah in this case do not get the Kanis ones - they have a very low dome and that effect is completely absent.
You just need eyes with a high dome for that effect.

 

The "follow me” effect in some doll eyes is created by how tall the done is. The higher the dome, the clearer the effect is. Thusly, it doesn't have to be a glass eye. Just like in classical paintings, where the artists painted the irises completely round instead of distorted to follow foreshortening, where the person was angled or supposed to be looking. Making some portraits appear as though they are constantly following you with their gaze. The hyper roundedness effect the taller dome gives the eyes from every angle, is what produces that effect. You can tell from actual product photos, that have side profiles of the eyes, just haw tall those are most of the time. Hope that helps and good luck. (:

 

Just to add in relevance to the "follow me" effect - most glass eyes listed on ACBJD and LegendDoll have at least a medium dome so they'll have at least a bit of the effct. Noticeably higher domes I've only seen on japanese artisan glass eyes which you can sometimes find on Mandarake/Dollyteria/Y!japan auctions/Mercari or second hand on the MP here.

Souldoll's acrylic eyes have a very strong follow-me effect due to how they're constructed, too.
