66cm+ Dolls NPC Studio Baphomet - Dream doll Arrival!

Sooo I haven't posted here in a while (and my profile is sorely out of date), but this is a special occassion for me so why not! I also have not seen many owner pictures of this doll at all which made me want to share it even more.

When I got back into the hobby after 10 years in 2024, I shifted my focus to MSD scale (or well, fantasy dolls between 40-52cm) and have really been enjoying it. But at the same time I always had the idea of one more SD+ to play the role of a deity in my world...that's when I found out about the NPC Studio Baphomet. He ticks all the boxes I want - fantasy resin color, fantasy legs and most notably beefy with a chest and thick thighs. Most fantasy dolls are slimmer and I wanted a real hunk if I did get a doll so big.

So when I saw him secondhand on Xianyu, in black resin, with fantasy feet...I knew I had to go for it. Even if I was unsure because he's not just tall he is SUPER TALL at 84cm.



He came in one very tall box!



Instead of a box, he comes in this backpack which I found really cool. He is HEAVY so this is useful!



Well protected and VERY BIG. I was honestly stunned even though I knew he would be huge!

The human head is beautiful, but I fell in love with DZ Sylvan and will try hybrid it. I do have the animal head as well but forgot to take pictures in my excitement (and will not be using it). If someone wants to see it badly I can add later maybe ;U;


YESS the wig fits as well! He is beautiful...



Bonus: Next to my Dream Valley Robin (around 52cm tall) and Dollzone Chun (forget but around 45cm??).

Bonus 2: with a human (me). x'D He is half as tall as me.

And thats it!

My plan is to give him the DZ Sylvan head if I can make it fit and paint some white patterns on him. So it will be a while until he is complete! Finding clothes for his measurements will also be a challenge so I plan to sew some eventually as well.

@sugarcactus Thank you so much!! He is heavy to boot..but that's okay, he's not a doll to bring outside and he at least brought his own backpack if I feel courageous hahaha. I do think he will fit right in ;U; But maybe he needs one equal one day that's not as ridiculously tall but also not a dwarf..ah we will see!

@hollyholly right?! he's amazing. His size still takes me off guard it definitely will take some getting used to xD And I am cautiously optimistic about the hybrid! His neck is around 13.5cm, and yet my one big head I have (of a 72cm doll) with a 11.5cm neck hole can perch without adjustments. So the sylvan head which is made for a 12.8cm neck should be better than that even - and worst case I will sand a couple milimeters off around ;U; That said I dont mind the head he has it's just that I am not sure I can do well on a faceup with black resin like this ,, Thank you!!

 

@solarmiracle Thank you! Will do when I get to it. The head is ordered but DZ seems to be super slow these days so I am just hoping sometime this year...

 

Because I wanted to see how my oldest and until now only SD boy (Crobidoll Yeonho, around 59cm) looks next to him - another size comparison.

I think a 68cm doll would make a great petite partner for him...just below his shoulders. (Lord help me I have plans already)

He's my only doll in black resin, so I don't really have anything to compare to. But I personally haven't noticed anything so major I would want to work on it. It looks very even and well done to me. I will say that I tend to not be very bothered by scuffs or scratches in general though so maybe that is why I don't notice it much xD I mean you can around the thigh joints that there's a bit of scratchyness going on but that's the worst I see of it
