I also ordered a May OE head and a May sleeping head! Did you go with the faceup option?

 

Thank you! I decided to get my May without a faceup just so I could see what I could do with it myself. The artist’s faceups are absolutely beautiful, though, so I was sorely tempted to get one.

I bought a Doll Leaves dream body for her, because the resin match for the NS Minifee body isn’t as close as I’d want to be from what I see in other’s pictures. I did see one on the Doll Leaves that was much closer, so I decided to try that body first (bonus- it’s cheaper, so if it doesn’t work out, I won’t as upset. )

 

@malvinas Do let us know how the resin match goes! Can't wait to see pictures of her!

@dxgirly Oh that's good to know! I was considering other hybrids, but I really need to go search for good resin matches/fits the neck.

 

@malvinas congrats on finally receiving her! I’d love to see her once you’ve got a body figured out.

 

@malvinas I would appreciate any comparison photos if you have for example Narae or Minifee in hand. Thanks in advance.

 

Oh her head size reminds me of my Black Cherry girl and another OT BJD I have. I don’t think it’s too stark of a contrast, especially if they’re wearing angora wigs or something else with volume.
Now I’m even more excited to receive my May head. I wonder when she’ll ship? Hopefully soon.

 

@malvinas Thank you so much for the comparison, she would fit with FID's better I see. She is really pretty but I think I need think a bit more and maybe these aren't for me.. yet anyway. I'm glad I can always admire other peoples dolls here.

 

MayakDolls new Ichi and April sculpts are so lovely. I think I may try to buy an Ichi in tan…

I just spoke with the artist in a dm and she said she expects to ship out my May head this week! Yay! So exciting!

 

I am also planning on getting an Ichi head! Need to grab some more 10/4mm eyes for her, but so exciting! I love every single one of her skulpts (that and I will need bodies for two heads... oop)

 

These heads are really beautiful! Does anyone know their measurements in cm? May is my favorite

 

I have May 's head . How many cm can I measure, but Monique's wig 5-6 on a silicone cap fit her well

 

This is my favorite May. It's on the Dollzone body B45-017. A very successful hybrid. There is still a Nitori, but I will show it later.

My Ichi girl, Aefre. Her body is on its way from Alice’s Collections. I have chosen a slim Myou body for her. In this photo she’s borrowing my Charm Doll girl’s body, but although it’s a good fit aesthetically, it’s yellow resin.

 

The three part torso, ver3. Myou body in normal resin that I ordered for my Ichi head arrived, it’s a good match.

 

I purchased the Mayakdolls Nima head, she is yo-sd size and in the tan color. Does anyone know what matches the tan so I can get a body for her? I bought a DF-A body in tan but when I got it, it’s way too light, doesn’t look tan.

 

Gorgeous dolls I didn't know much about this company but they're all lovely and April has really caught my eye but I'm struggling finding measurements of that head. I'd want her to be best friends with my Bimong Narae and I'm worried she'll look too tiny next to her based on the pictures on this thread. Any insights would be very appreciated ^w^

 

hi everyone, I wanted to share my May on DZ body. I've had her about 2yrs?
Although she is up for sale, I was considering modding her eyes open but I don't want to ruin the beautiful faceup. I love her but have no where safe to display and thought maybe if she had open eyes I would. Has anyone done anything like this before and did it help the decision of keeping her?

 

I am also a fan of Mayak Dolls moulds. When I’ve seen May for the first time I’ve immediately decided that I would get her. And here she is. For now I have no tan body for her (I’ll think about it later), so she’s temporarily sharing a body with my Doll Chateau. It doesn’t match at all but I see her slender, thin and high, so the body of a Minifee was not approved for this reason. She is a rebel teenage girl, thoughtful and wary, I hope she’ll open with me soon.

So I got my hands on a Mayak Doll's Ichi and I love her little face. She needs a new faceup so she's going to get added to the three others that need a faceup and get done when the weather improves.

@nyxx2 - Which DZ body did you have her on. I'm looking at the bodies people have said they put theirs on for shoulder width and I'd be really interested to see if you have her on the more adult 1/4 bodies (the 43 and 47cm ones) or the 44cm one that's a bit more childlike.

My plan is to put her on Black Ships new oil painting body, but I am a little concerned she'll look a bit pinheaded.

 

Hi, I have mine on the DZ B45-012 body.
I love the proportions for her but I'd love to see her with larger breasts for corsets and things. Hopefully these links work.

That would be my dream hybrid, if it works out. Keep us posted!!

 

The neck will fit fine, fortunately, but my biggest concern is the shoulders which are nearly 11cm. Most of the bodies I've seen in this thread and elsewhere top out at like 8cm shoulders. I am hoping that the extra joint in them will let them look smaller so it won't be too bad.

I'm also hoping that I got the right colour, or at least one that looks close enough. I ended up going with Mia Pink because the oil-painting near Volks Normal looked very yellow.
